As the month of August begins, let us remember Pope Francis’s intentions in our prayers.
His
universal intention is for volunteers, that they “may give themselves generously to the
service of the needy.”
The Holy Father also asks us to pray for “outreach
to the marginalized,” that, “setting aside
our very selves we may learn to be neighbors to those who find themselves
on the margins of human life and society.”
So let us
join Pope Francis in praying for all volunteers, and that we might begin to
volunteer our very selves in generosity to those in need.
