With the World Cup going on this month, Pope Francis asks us to pray that, "sports may always be occasions of human fraternity and
growth."
He also asks us to pray "that the Holy Spirit may support the work of
the laity who proclaim the Gospel in the poorest countries."
Through the intercession of St. John Paul II, who was both an athlete and
a missionary, let us pray with the Holy Father this month, for a stronger and
wider communion in the Church.
